"Played it Last" by Fasano // The Factory (Out Soon via Godmode)

It’s been a couple of months since we last heard from Matty Fasano. Back in January, we got to hear his short but sweet stunner, "It Wasn’t Me Who Left You Alone", taken from his forthcoming lp, The Factory. Now, we’ve got a second single from that release, and it’s another gem. “Played It Last” is a lo-fi beauty that floats on a buoyant beat and lovely choral backing vocals. Once again, Fasano’s stunning vocals are the star, but the full sound on display is equally exciting and another reason to keep an eye on Fasano in the near future. Highly recommended for fans of Grizzly Bear, Spencer Krug, and Jens Lekman.

Bloc Party - Hunting For Witches (RAC Remix) Have only just found these guys, not Bloc Party, dicknut; RAC! It feels like Ive been listening to all their tracks on repeat for about two days now. As well as Bloc Party, other remixes include things like Tokyo Police Club, Ra Ra Riot, Kings of Leon, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Two Door Cinema Club and even Sonic The Hedgehog! If you dont like any of these songs, apart from being retarded, youre quite clearly deaf. Check out and download most of their tracks (including full albums) for free on their website at:

"Kyoto Train" by Watercolours // Portals (Available Now via Bandcamp)

Watercolours is moniker used by New Zealand artist, Chelsea Jade Metcalf, to create warm, dreamy, electro pop gems. Her new EP, Portals recently dropped on Bandcamp, and there’s not a dud in the bunch. Seven tracks of wonderful sounds. One of my personal favorites is the shimmering and hypnotic pop beauty, “Kyoto Train”. It’s the kind of track that I can only imagine would launch Watercolours to superstardom if it found it’s way into the right hands. It’s a stunning bit of electro dream pop jam that i can’t stop playing. Highest recommendation for fans of Grimes, Keep Shelly in Athens, and Chvrches.
